No Yoga, No Peace – Know Yoga, Know Peace

Anyone can benefit from Yoga, and Hatha-Astanga yoga's graceful postures, focused on breathing, deep relaxation exercises and meditation brings peace and wellbeing to body, mind and spirit.

Yoga was introduced to the western world by Yogananda Paramahansa, around the turn of the last century. My teacher Janakananda was given the go ahead and blessings to pass on the spiritual teachings of Yogananda Paramahansa, during a meditative visitation by Yogananda Paramahansa in 1996. I met Janakanda in 1998, when he initiated me into the practise of Kriya Yoga (meditation). He had also just finished qualifying his 1st Yoga students, when he invited me to study Yoga with him.

Yoga has been my first love, it has given me great insights to myself, and taught me to be self-realised.

Yoga in its essence is not just an exercise, but a way of life. With regular practise, you find your understanding changes, opens up, you become more tolerant, more understanding, less aggressive and stressed. Yoga brings peace and ease where their has been dis-ease.
